caden's first day of school

Caden started Kindergarten today and I got up early to walk him to school and take a few photos, not to mention give him a little advice on his first day of school. Ya know how you always wished you knew then, what you know now? Well, I am going to teach that kid all I know and he'll go places. Places like the principal's office!

He was very excited when I arrived at 7:45 this morning:

Addison was very excited that she didn't have to go to school and is going to sit around in her jammies watching cartoons (kinda like her uncle on most days):

This is Caden's little friend (I forgot her name). She's a few years older. He actually dwarfs most of the kids in his class.

What can I say... he takes after his uncle:

It's his mom's first day back to school as well. This is the beginning of her 13th year as a teacher:

I loved seeing 3 iMacs and an eMac in his classroom and his teacher was rocking a MacBook. It makes me happy they are teaching these kids right from the beginning... it gives me hope for the future!:

His chair was at the head of the table so I told him he was the leader and the other kids should do what he says. He agreed and then we started scoping out the hot chicks in class. He told me he had his eye on a couple of them. That's my boy!

Um... he still needs to work on his coloring skills. I reassured him that "staying in the lines" is for conformists and he's a leader so he needs to think "outside of the lines/box". You shoulda seen the color job by the girl in the green jacket behind him... it was immaculate... a regular Thomas Kincade. Boring!
