I’m with CoCo.
As a semi-professional TV watcher, I feel as must weigh in on this issue. The issue I am referring to is thecluster mess that NBC has gotten itself into in regards to do with their late night programming.
Apparently the Jay Leno prime time debacle is sucking and the ratings aren’t so hot. I still can’t believe they thought that was a good idea in the first place. I mean, what happened to putting quality programming on in prime time instead of reality or variety show? Sure, they save a lot of money producing the Jay Leno show, but I only tuned in a couple of times, and it was never funny and he was doing the same old tired bits that he’s been doing on the Tonight Show for the last who knows how long. Boring!
NBC used to have the best shows. The were the home of Cheers, The Cosby Show, Seinfeld, The Westwing, ER, ALF just to name a few. Now I only watch a couple shows on NBC. (The Office, 30 Rock and Community)
Jay Leno is not funny. If you think he is, you need to get out more and see actual comedy. If Jay & the NBC execs thinks the time slot doesn’t matter because people have DVRs & TiVo these days... I say give him the 3:05am slot right after Poker After Dark.
Anyway, I thought the letter Conan posted today was very classy and I hope NBC pulls their heads out of the collective asses and tells Jay to take a hike.
And since I know that probably isn't going to happen, I wish Conan the best and I'll watch him on whatever network he ends up on.
Rant over. Have a nice day.
