| the best of 2009: amazing details | 01.03.2010 |
Along with capturing relaxed portraits and real moments at the weddings I shoot, I also want to make sure I capture all of the amazing details. The scene setters if you will. I know a lot of time and effort goes into planning each wedding and of course lots of dollars are spent planning the perfect wedding, so I want to make sure I capture those types of images as a part of my signature wedding coverage. After all, once the wedding is over, and the flowers are dead, and the food has been eaten, and the dress can't be worn again... all that remains are the photographs.
I take a lot of pride in documenting the details. I arrive early at each wedding so I have plenty of time to shoot the bride's gown before she puts it on. I make sure to shoot the shoes, the flowers, the venue, the center pieces and all of the other details that make each wedding unique.
I've had past brides tell me that they upgraded their wedding shoes because they knew I'd be shooting close ups of them. I also like to make sure to shoot all of the floral arraignments as well as the table set ups for the florist & catering manager. The wedding coordinators also appreciate the detail shots and I am happy to hook up the other wedding vendors with files.
The real reason I like to shoot the details is because it just helps tell the entire story of the wedding in the couple's album. Combined with the relaxed portraits and real moments, the amazing details help me create a book that will ensure the memories of the wedding day celebration will last forever.
