| the ultimate last minute gift | 12.21.2009 |
Each and every year, I actually enjoy putting off all of my Christmas shopping until about a week before Christmas. I like going to the mall when it's super packed and it takes forever to find a parking spot and there's an electricity in the air. I go into it knowing it's going to be a crazy day and I just plan on everything taking forever. I went to Toys 'R' Us yesterday (the Sunday before Christmas) and it was nuts. I was there for an hour and a half. I was at Best Buy for another hour and spend a few hours at the Irvine Spectrum (while watching the Steelers/Packers game on my iPhone). I also spent a better part of last Saturday at South Coast Plaza, one of the busiest malls in SoCal.
Tomorrow I planning on finishing up again at the Shops at Mission Viejo, but once again, for about the 10th year in a row, I have purchased most of my gifts on Amazon.com. That site is the best. They sell everything. You can buy a lawnmower, lawn darts, lawn ornaments and lawn furniture. Not to mention just about any book ever, any movie ever, all kinds of camera gear, jewelry, clothing, computers, etc, etc, etc... You name it, they probably have it.
But with so many choices, what's a person to do? Especially if you are a last minute shopper like myself. I have my friends and family members trained that they can't go wrong with an Amazon.com Gift Certificate. You can get them 24/7 and they can be delivered instantly through email, or you can print it out if you want to put it in a card and hand delver it. Either way, whomever the lucky recipient is, you can be assured they wont be disappointed since they can buy just about anything with an Amazon.com Gift Cards. So if you need to get someone (or me) a last minute gift, treat them (or me) to a little love from the Amazon.
