On my last day as a 35 year old, I wanted to share a few thoughts that have been on my mind.

I am at the Miami airport waiting for my flight to board back to California and I have an hour to kill.

I'm tired.

I've been traveling a lot and it's been a crazy year.

Plus I just don't get enough sleep.

There's always so much going on.

Life is busy.

I seem to be burning the candle at both ends a lot lately.

I work a lot.

I play a lot.

I travel a lot.

I watch a lot of TV.

I surf the web a lot.

I have lots of ideas.

Some are good.

Some are great.

Some are lame.

I wish I had more time.

Wedding season is winding down.

I only have a couple more weddings this year.

I'm looking forward to some down time to work on some of the non-lame ideas.

It's been a great year.

I have cool clients.

I am stoked on the body of work I produced this year.

I feel like I am getting the hang of this photography thing.

I am excited for 2010.

I want to get better.

I really do feel blessed to be able to shoot weddings... it's an awesome job.

I am also really stoked on the [ b ] School and teaching other photographers.

It feels good to help.

I think I am making a difference in the industry.

Most people seem to appreciate what I am doing.

Some people don't.

That's okay.

Tomorrow I am 36.

It's just a number.

I'm still a kid at heart.

I refuse to grow up.

I never want to take life too seriously.

I hope the Angles beat the Yankees.

I hope the series goes 7 games no matter who wins.

I wish the Cowboys would play better.

I want to go to the new Texas Stadium.

That TV looks insane.

U2 is my favorite band.

They are so awesome live it's not even funny.

I'd love to meet Bono some day.

I'd love to shoot with with my 85mm/1.2 wide open.

I'd focus on his shades.

I am going to see U2 in a week or so.

My friend Gary gave me his tickets.

Gary is awesome.

I have some great friends.

Even though I have 5,000 Facebook friends, I only have a handful of really close friends.

I cherish them.

I'm going to see a lot of them tomorrow at the party Keats is throwing for me.

Keats is awesome.

I still am stoked for my Facebook friends.

I think I am addicted to Twitter.

I'm fine with that too.

I am going to travel even more in 2010.

I want to go places.

I want to see things.

I want to connect with more people.

I want to share more.

I like the feeling I get when people are inspired.

I can see it when the lightbulb turns on.

I saw it yesterday at the workshop in a couple of the participants.

Some people had blank stares.

One girl told me she was afraid of me.

But this morning she called me a teddy bear.

Why would she be afraid in the first place?

I don't bite.

Hard.

I never liked school.

I never thought I could be a teacher.

The more I do it, the more I like it.

I like to pretend I am a motivational speaker.

I ain't gonna walk on fire though.

It would ruin my pedicure.

My parents are awesome.

I think I have A.D. --> Oh look... a squirrel!

People watching at the airport is interesting.

I wonder where everyone is going.

Twitter is going to be around for a while

Might as well get with the program and join.

Facebook might catch on too. ;-)

Back to those ideas.

I'll be looking for an intern soon.

Why do the board by group number instead of rows?

Seems to make more sense to board from the rear forward.

I'm in zone 4

Yet I'm sitting towards the rear of the plane.

There will be lots of people just standing in the aisle.

I don't have my normal camera bag, so I won't be fighting for overhead space.
