Week 1 of the NFL action was awesome! The Cowboys won big, the Bears vs. Packers game was exciting to watch and came down to the wire. I picked 11 out of 14 games correctly and baring any huge upsets on Monday Night Football tonight, I'll be 13 of 16, which ain't a terrible start. Had the Packers not had a miracle drive with less than two minutes remaining I would have been 12 for 14, and I should have picked the Eagles over the Panthers, but I just hate the Eagles to I picked against them even though I pretty much knew they'd win. Can't blame a guy for wishful thinking.

I don't have time for fantasy football, but I do participate in a pool or two from time to time, but even when no money is on the line, I like to just try to pick the winners, so I'll be tweeting my pick before the start of the first game on Sunday and hashtagging it with #nflpix. Feel free to play along and do the same. No money on the line. Just for pride.

Interesting or not? Facebook's @mentioning is now live. I never update my Facebook status. I just use Twitter and then it updates FB for me. I won't do it the other way around because with Facebook I am just limited to my 5,000 friends. With Twitter, I can at reply anyone and in theory, more people will see it especially if it gets retweeted.

Month o' fun coming up. In the next 30 days, I'll be in Little Rock, Omaha, Napa, San Francisco & Miami getting back just in time for my birthday on October 16th. All the while, football season has started and the Angels are looking to win their 3rd AL West pennant in a row so hopefully they'll be playing in October and winning a dang playoff series for a change.

The Informant, Law Abiding Citizen, The Men Who Stare at Goats and lastly, How to Seduce Difficult Women. I don't know what that one is about, but I like the title and I'll be taking notes! ;-)
