8 years ago today, I got my first digital camera, the Nikon D1x. I always remember the date because it was on the same day as the first alleged* lunar landing. Since then, I estimate that I have taken over 2 million images, which is the equivalent of 55,555 rolls of film... so if nothing else, digital photography is better for the environment. I was an early adopter of digital technology. I was always a bit of a computer geek/Mac nerd, so when digital became available and usable in 2001, I jumped all over it and never looked back. I love the quality and control it gives me over my images and I think the instant feedback of digital has helped me become a better photographer. _____ Speaking of the moon landing, today is the 40th anniversary of that great feat/hoax. wink wink ;-) _____ tosh.o is my new favorite show on Comedy Central. it's kinda like Talk Soup, but instead of talk shows, the guy just finds random funny stuff on the web. While I think it was absolutely horrible what he did, and I am glad he went to prison (usually rich people find a way to get out of it), I do think he paid his debt to society and I hope the NFL reinstates him. I am certain he learned his lesson and I am sure he won't ever do anything like that ever again. I hope he is able to sign with a team and play this year. The Raiders should probably sign him since most Raider fans participate in dog fighting as a tailgating activity right? That's just my 50 cent! Before you get all twitchy and send me hate mail, I am not making fun or making light of dog fighting... I am making fun of Raider fans! ;-P _____ Happy [ b ] to that Image is Found guy! He's 28 today. Also, it's Jessica Claire's birthday week. She turns the big 3.0 on Wednesday so there's still about 48 hours to shop. Also, Gina, my Photoshop guru turns 30 tomorrow as well. Also for the record, I do not smoke pot, but I do believe in individual freedoms and choices, that marijuana should be legal for those adults who choose to "partoke" in such activities. Discuss!
