It's Monday and it was nice to be home in my own bed last night, with my own shower and my own internet connection! I was so close to the Silicon Valley this past weekend, and I felt as if I was cut off from the rest of the world. I had horrible mobile service on my phone, and the internet didn't work at the cottages I was staying at. But it sure is beautiful up there. I guess those folks don't care to be connected to anything else when they live in such an amazing place.

I took the long way home and trekked down Highway 1 along the Pacific Coast. I didn't stop to take many photos, but even though it added hours to my drive home, it sure was worth it. I will post some images from Hearst Castle later this week. That place is amazing.

I can't believe the Democrats still don't have a nominee for President. Tomorrow, Pennsylvania has their say. Tonight, Barack Obama is on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart so check your local listings. I saw this last week and was cracking up:

I am a bad Angel fan as I haven't made it to even one game yet and now they are on a road trip. I am going to go next week when the A's are in town. Right now, they are tied for first with Oakland. Only 142 games to go!

Isn't today Earth Day? Like in that song... "it's April 21st, and everybody knows..."

Whatever, my point is I haven't heard about Earth Day in a while. Is that because every day is Earth Day?

Nevermind, I just Googled it and it's tomorrow. What's up with that song then? You can sound off on what you plan on doing for Earth Day here.. I'm busy tomorrow, but I'll try not to burn any styrofoam! ;-)
