Happy President's Day everyone. I hope you have the day off as I do. This week is poker week for me with a lot of action coming up. I won a satellite over the weekend which got me into the holiday tournament down at Oceans 11 in northern San Diego County this afternoon. Wish me luck! Then tomorrow I am headed to the Commerce Casino in LA for the LA Poker Classic and hopefully I'll make the money in both tourneys. I may be back at Commerce on Thursday for another event depending on how things go, the theree is a charity tournament at the Bike this coming Sunday to benefit a fallen police officer. I have been having a blast playing poker lately and i've been winning a lot since going to poker school! I'll be doing a little video diary of my experience, so check back later this week.

Did anyone watch Knight Rider last night? I loved that show growing up, so I had to tune in land check it out. First and foremost... a Ford Mustang? Really? They couldn't have come up with a more believable car? Something that actually has some advanced technology? Hilarious! Other than that, the story sucked, the acting wasn't very good and the effects were terrible. Thanks for ruining some of my favorite childhood memories. At least a cameo by the Hoff would have made me a little happy ( I didn't acually watch the whole thing because it was so lame, so maybe he did make an appearance?). The whole show was basically a Ford commercial. Boo!

I cleaned out my fridge this weekend. I guess one should do that every 4 or 5 years! ;) You wouldn't believe the stuff I found towards the back. Yogurt from 2006. Cheese that looked like lettuce. Mayo that expired in 2005. Leftovers from pre-holiday meals. A tomato that looked like an avocado. An avocado that looked like a fuzzy white baseball. It was gross... even for a bachelor.

I haven't had a chance to write about it until now. But I watched most of the Congressional hearings with Roger Clemens the other day and all I can say is that I am quite certain he is lying. His mannerisms and body language did not match what he was saying. Another huge disappointment. It'll be interesting to see what Andy Pettitte has to say when he reports to spring training and faces the media today.

I am stoked that the writer's strike is over and they got a good deal. Maybe they can start writing things better than Knight Rider now.

And folks, you can stop sending me emails about the dangers of aspartame & Diet Coke. Snopes.com basically refutes the idea that it's actually harmful. Whether it leads to weigh gain or not... who knows? Also on Snopes is the real truth about the national "do not call" list for people worried about telemarketers calling your cell phone. It ain't true, so stop forwarding that email. In fact... people should never ever forward any email ever. If you get a chain e-mail, you can be 99.9% certain that it is most likely BS.
