July 21 wedding wedding at the island hotel

Last Saturday Marisa and I shot a wonderful wedding at the Our Lady Mount Carmel Catholic Church on the Balboa Pennisula followed by a lavish reception at The Island Hotel in Newport Beach. It was a little overcast which I love because it keeps it cooler and provides some nice soft like which is awesome for photos. Mark's Garden provided the florals and it was just one of those weddings that everyone had a great time, and the couple was very easy going and super nice.

The bride's mother told me this was a "horny cake". Apparently it's a Lithuanian thing. For every spike that falls off during the baking process, that's how many kids the couple is going to have. (I counted 12 broken spikes- Yikes!)
