2013 is here and I couldn't be more excited! 2012 was a crazy year for me personally... I went through lots of changes and had a hard time staying focused, and unfortunately I didn't accomplish all that I had set out to. This year is going to be different!
I went to London to speak at SWPP for the 2nd time (I'm bummed I'm not going back this year, but I am going to plan on it for 2014):
After London, I spent a couple days in Paris. I hadn't been there since my 21st birthday.
After 12 years in Mission Viejo, I moved to Ladera Ranch. A ton of my friends and clients live there, but since I don't have 2.5 kids, I don't really fit in and I am looking for a new place to call home.
I was fortunate to shoot a few more destination weddings for some amazing couples. This one was down in Destin, Florida:
This is just one of my favorite all time quotes. I truly believe that it's not what happens to you in life that matters, but how you react to it. I do my very best to stay positive at all times.
I took this photo down in Old Town San Diego. I just like it!
This was shot up in Northern California. Joe Photo & I were on a road trip and heading out to dinner when we drove by this church:
I didn't play nearly enough poker this last year... too busy. But my dreams of becoming a wannabe professional poker player are still alive and well. I am really hoping to play in the WSOP again this summer.

I am not one for resolutions, but I am a fan of goal setting. They say if you actually write your goals down and revisit them often, you are more likely to achieve them. Also publicly declaring them helps to keep you accountable, so here goes:
My 2013 goals:
I will continue to eat well, but I am going to get into a fitness routine that will help me weigh under 200 pounds by summer.
I want to shoot 20-24 weddings.
My team and I have plans to radically change The [ b ] School and I'm hoping to launch it this summer and we're hoping to double the enrollment and engagement!
I will re-kick my Diet Coke habit. (I kicked it before, but slowly started drinking more and more over time).
I'll continue to post to Instagram often (although I am not sure about committing to every day again).
I will eliminate clutter from my life. I will no longer be a pack rat.
Launch my new website (Any day now... preview here)
One of my favorite quotes from John C. Maxwell is, "The greatest gap in the world is between knowing and doing". In 2013, I am going to become a doer! I have huge plans and I am not going to let anything stand in my way (including myself). Thanks for visiting my blog and I wish you all the best in the coming year!
