Never you mind where I took this photo, just enjoy the color, the light and the composition. #instagram366 http://t.co/J5ez6KJz  |  Follow me

Hey there! My name is Becker and I am a wedding photographer
from Orange County, California who specializes in capturing relaxed portraits, amazing details and real moments for the coolest brides and grooms on the planet.

This blog follows both my personal and professional life, and features images from the weddings I shoot, the places I travel and the friends and family members that mean so much to me. It's basically like my own personal photo album combined with an information source for my current and potential clients and a source of inspiration and education for other photographers. This site is a little more informal and I just want to give everyone a sense of who I am and what I am all about. Thanks for visiting.

Gothenburg Workshop

05.17.2009

We got a gorgeous day to shoot in Gothenburg for the second Swedish workshop. Alex, took a train ride down to model again but this time Angelica joined us. As per usual I strive to find nice light and interesting locations to capture my signature style relaxed portraits. You'd never know Angelica is engaged to another man. Shhh... don't tell her fiance! ;-) Oh, and I am going to throw this out...

Gothenburg Workshop

05.16.2009

Ok, so I've been posting a bunch of fun shots & art images from my European vacation, but actually... I was in Sweden to teach a series of workshops. This first in Stockholm, then a week later in Gothenburg. Most of my workshop was about marketing, branding and business, but we did go out for a mock portrait session with a bride & groom, followed by a demo of my workflow. Here are a few of the...

Here are some behind the scenes action shots from the Sweden workshops. Thanks to the following photographers for sending photos or tagging me on Facebook: Petra Hall, Alicia Swedenborg, Erika Gerdemark, Benny, Andreas & Therese Ottosson (it's a whole family of photographers), Kate Gabor, Jenny Jansson, Jenny Hammar, Monika Manowska, Magnus Persson, Nouna Andersson, Mikaela Rudhner, Justin...

For as much as I love to travel and experience new places and cultures, I sure do love coming home to beautiful Mission Viejo and sleep in my own bed. I'll be posting more images from my trip in the coming days, but in the mean time, enjoy this lovely image of me holding baby Mildred (click the photo to see her mom's website):

Right before I left for Sweden, I shot a beautiful young model for my ongoing fine art nude project. Of course I enjoyed shooting her and she is a wonderful model, but I also like that she is trying to make the most of social networking, which I haven't seen too many models do just yet. You can follow her on Twitter, subscribe to her Facebook fan page and check out Gwendolyn Jane's Daily Photo...

05.11.2009

Ok, so this American photographer who lives in Sweden, Justin from Daniel Photo invited me to get up around 4:30am the other day to take a stroll through the city to shoot around sunrise. He obviously doesn't know me very well because I am not a morning person, but due to the time difference, I was wide awake at 4am so I decided to take him up on it. We went through old town, the same place Jess &...

Finally got back online with free WiFi on the train to Gothenburg. Here are a few textures from Istanbul. I really enjoyed walking around that old, old city and I did my best to brush up on 11th grade world history, but it's all a blur. We spent more of our time shooting photos, but we did manage do go to one of the Turkish baths. It was an experience for sure. You basically just lie around on...

Seriously folks, Istanbul has to be one of the most interesting cities I have ever been to. There is so much history here, so much culture, texture, color and things to see. Even though I took tons of images, I feel I didn't even come close to capturing the essence of this city and I feel like I could easily spend two weeks here instead of just two days. I am definitely going to come back some...
