Headed south on I-15 about a half hour away from the Mad Greek. Looking forward to our traditional stop there on the way home. Anyone else? | Follow me
Hey there! My name is Becker and I am a wedding photographer from Orange County, California who specializes in capturing relaxed portraits, amazing details and real moments for the coolest brides and grooms on the planet.
This blog follows both my personal and professional life, and features images from the weddings I shoot, the places I travel and the friends and family members that mean so much to me. It's basically like my own personal photo album combined with an information source for my current and potential clients and a source of inspiration and education for other photographers. This site is a little more informal and I just want to give everyone a sense of who I am, and what I am all about. Thanks for visiting.
Last night a bunch of us headed down to Balboa for a little beach BBQ action to celebrate Amelia Lyon's birthday. I think she's like 21. Here's the birthday girl with her man Justin:
Keep in mind all of these were taken with my P&S camera with nothing but the fire light, no flash, but I really like this one.
You'll want to watch this lovely rendition of Happy Birthday featuring yours truly with Justin hitting the high notes.

Today my folks are celebrating their 36th wedding anniversary and check out this treasure that my dad dug out of the closet... that's right... their wedding album:
Watch this quick video as I flip through my folks wedding album.
It's so awesome to have these photographs. Even though I tease my dad and make fun of his wardrobe and the style of photography back then, these images are priceless to my parents and they cherish them. Every time I shoot a wedding I go into with the thought that the couple and their kids will be enjoying these images for years to come. I take so much pride in what I do as a wedding photographer and I am blesses to have a career that brings joy to people and is so fulfilling. I am also so blessed to have such amazing parents. They were high school sweethearts and they are even more in love today than they were back in '73.
Hey all, I am posting this on both of my blogs because it has to do with photography, and my personal life (beckersblog.com and thebschoolblog.com)
Jessica Claire and I are headed to Sweden next week for a couple of speaking engagements. Jessica is speaking on the 5th in Stockholm and I am speaking on the 6th, then we have a few days off before Jessica speaks in Gothenburg on the 12th and I follow her again on the 13th before heading home the following day.
Now is where I need your help. We have 5 full days between workshops to explore Sweden, Scandanavia and possible northern Europe and we are looking for suggestions of what to do.
WE ARE NOT GOING TO MAKE ANY FIRM PLANS UNTIL WE ARRIVE. Aside from the airfare to get to Sweden and the hotels the nights we are speaking... we have no reservations, no plane or train tickets pre purchased and we decided that we were just going to be spontaneous and decide what to do once we get there! Having said that, we'd love to hear your suggestions for some possible day trips, outings, photo ops or what you think we should do with our time.
Today I am coming to you from the Mile High City of Denver, Colorado on an absolutely gorgeous Spring day... in fact, it's Earth Day to be exact. The weather is perfect, there is green all around, the people have been great and I just got done shooting this lovely couple and wanted to share some images.
I am actually doing a modified version of my Party of 5 workshop today and although these two aren't engaged just yet (no pressure bro!), I showed the class how I like to shoot and I've also been sharing my lightning fast, uber efficient and effective workflow. These images were taken less than an hour ago.
