| LA Bacon Festival | 02.09.2013 |
Today was like Christmas all over again! Keats & I went to LA Bacon Festival at the Peterson Auto Museum on the Miracle Mile and it was glorious! Over 45 vendors from different Southland restaurants... all sharing some sort of bacon-ey goodness.
Some of the favorite things we sampled were:
Bacon Pop Tarts
Bacon Rocky Road Ice Cream
Bacon wrapped dates stuffed with cream cheese
Bacon macaroni & cheese
Pickled watermelon & pork belly
Pig shaped shortbread cookies with bacon
Pork belly taco's topped with bacon!!!
but my favorite was a Vietnamese pork belly sandwich from the event sponsor... Mendocino Farms. I must have went back to their booth 5 or 6 times.

Crack bacon from Grub. I asked the lady why they called it crack bacon... she just said taste it. It was pretty good... but I think it just has some sugar glaze on it.

I didn't end up buying the bacon whore t-shirt... I fell as if I already have enough bacon t-shirts.
