Katie In response to Eric, OC might pretend to be ultra conservative but leave south OC and go to north OC and it's a whole different story, especially when you work for a certain mouse in Anaheim like I do. ;) When I say I'm a Republican I get "WHAT! No way..." WAY more often than "so am I". To Paul, I really wish the GOP would go back to being conservative and we need more people with the conservative principles like Jindal and Palin, and someone who can pull it off like Romney. And [b], I don't think SP is running for president. It'll be interesting to see why she resigned, but I think she's sick of the media treating her family like crap. Melanie I'm so with you on the whole Michael Jackson coverage. It was ridiculous. He was a singer. I read on another blog last week that 20 US soldiers have died since Michael Jackson passed away (I'm not sure on the accuracy of the number though) and we haven't heard anything about them. These were people who gave their lives to protect us, yet we idolize these celebrities like they are God's gift to mankind. It's ridiculous. (07.15.09, 04:50pm)

Paul Kremer I agree! Retire or don't Favre, all this indecision makes you look silly! I disagree that the GOP "gave up" by adding Palin to the ticket. Palin was the only reason the GOP had a chance in the last election. The GOP should stand for conservative government, which McCain most decidedly does not. Palin is at least a conservative governor, and made the ticket a little more attractive...just not attractive enough to overcome McCain. (07.14.09, 01:06am)

Jb Trainers say that even if you drink pop or zero-cal drinks, it slows your metabolism down way more than water. megan I think people were flaming you over the MJ comments because it seemed like you were comparing his impact on the world (music/dance/charity) to Anna Nicole, rather than the actual circumstances of his death. Anna Nicole was a professional golddigger/playboy model... MJ changed music and dance forever, and that's not even bringing in the mind-boggling amount of time and money he committed to charity.
