Karen   GO GREEN! Well, as green as I can ... mainly to use LESS of those plastic bags that EVERY store gives out. Sheesh, they multiply in my house! For the new year, I'll either go without a bag when I make a purchase, or put it in a cloth bag I'll keep in my car and REUSE! (01.07.08, 11:24am)
Rich Smith   Wow... can I just copy yours? I need help in all of those areas with the exception of the Foreman Grill. :) (01.02.08, 04:01pm)
MC Anonymous   I like your goals. I, too want to get to bed earlier. Here are some of my goals for 2008: 1. Automate my workflow 2. Experiment by creating a business based on automation and lateral thinking. Earn $120K/month and work less. 3. Enter a snowhoe race 4. Run my second Pikes Peak Marathon. Set a new record. 5. Live more, work less. 6. See Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand 7. Go skiing in Switzerland (Easter Weekend) 8. Put myself into an uncomfortable situation and enter an amateur hour at our local comedy place. 9. Spend a month doing volunteer work. 10. Learn to play the Mandolin that I bought 2 years ago. Happy NYE Becker. Thanks for all your great inspiration! (12.31.07, 04:40pm)
kerri mcconnell   [b] - just watch super size me a couple times and it should be pretty easy to give up the fast food nation... :) i usually don't make resolutions - just term them as upcoming accomplishments: continue my weight loss regime (lost 30 lbs in 07) ~ publish my cookbook and give as gifts to friends and family ~ take a road trip (12.31.07, 12:13pm)
scott neumyer   just a note as well about DVR... the comcast DVR pretty much sucks right now, but very soon they'll be getting the Tivo interface to go with it.. I believe they're already rolling it out in the New England area, and it'll only cost a few bucks more a month... (12.31.07, 10:39am)
tony Bisson   I am doing something different this year: My goals (12.31.07, 09:02am)
Mollie   Will you be in Tampa for Imaging USA? I missed the Miami lunch and I am still sad about it! (12.31.07, 03:09am)
MP   I gave up making resolutions. I found out when you make them they are jinxed and never happen. I do have some resolutions but I like to keep them to myself that way I under promise and over deliver hopefully UPUD ;) Have a great 2008. (12.31.07, 03:04am)
Mrs. Fun   Oh I HATE those DVRS!! You need Tivo, it rocks. I want to read more and give up eating out. We don't do fast food so its expensive. Good luck with your goals, (12.31.07, 01:11am)
Luke Walker   stand alone TiVo is better, but it's definitely not the real thing. why TiVo stopped producing those sweet original DVRs is beyond me. the stand alones sometimes have some funky quirks (of course because they are trying to re-broadcast what's coming through your other receiver) and it's always a little behind as well. like on ours when you change the channel there is a 5 second delay before the channel actually changes. other than some small quirks it's close though, much closer than the directv box. dont say you werent warned! (12.30.07, 10:50pm)
[ b ] e c k e r   there's no chance i am switching to Dish. if it bugs me too much, i'll just get a stand alone Tivo one of these days. (12.30.07, 09:41pm)
Jess   long time reader - first time poster ;) my 2008 specific goals can be found http://buriedlife.ning.com/profiles/blog/show?id=655322%3ABlogPost%3A9727 and life goals here http://buriedlife.ning.com/profiles/blog/show?id=655322:BlogPost:7525 a few years ago i decided a new years resolution wasnt enough and started my life list. then stumbled across the guys at the buried life (http://www.theburiedlife.com/) they inspired me to finish my list and start doing some of it. happy new year - may you achieve everything you set out to acheive. (12.30.07, 09:24pm)
Ronee Wells   I have to disagree with Kjeld. I recently switched from TIVO to DishNetwork, and my husband and I want to switch back. I tend to be a really impatient person, and the Dish Network DVR is slower and does not have the ease of adding shows to watch, that TIVO had. The search function in TIVO is waaaaay better. Maybe it's just us, though... (12.30.07, 09:14pm)
kjeld mahoney   becker - switch to dishnetwork - their DVR is amazing and this is coming from a previous TIVO owner. (12.30.07, 07:09pm)
scott neumyer   if you succeed at #3, you probably won't succeed at #4... hehehehe... just kiddin. good list [b] (12.30.07, 06:33pm)
andie   we have a lot of the same goals. give up fast food (subway doesn't count, right?) and be more active! (12.30.07, 06:31pm)
Mandy   Step out of my comfort zone. Work on getting healthy for my family Push past my fears, and invest in myself and my biz. (I say as I tremble in my shoes) (12.30.07, 05:59pm)
jill Karpel   Ah! The Foreman Grill! My husband's favorite kitchen item. He uses it for everything. I agree with you and I never do the Resolution thing either. I have, however challenged my siblings and my husband to a weight loss war. I sure hope I win! (12.30.07, 05:26pm)
Kayla   Love this post - some things I want to be better at in the coming year - #1 - spending time with family & kids #2 - Getting Organized so I can enjoy what I have instead of always looking everywhere for it! #3 - Taking better care of myself so I will be healthy and happy for many years to come! (12.30.07, 05:20pm)
Miz Booshay   Now that's a list! Since you asked.... I resolve to make a recipe from one of my many cookbooks...once a week. So I will have tried 52 new recipes in a year. That's pretty cool, huh? Best wishes on a great and healthy year!!! (12.30.07, 05:07pm)
Tracy   To expand my photography business and to push my limitations when it comes to my photos. To learn/discover a faster way of processing To try to have a better balance between photography/processing and my son I"m sure I'll think of more. I can't believe I'm the first to comment?......lol (12.30.07, 04:59pm)
