Mary Hey Becker,
My husband lost 25 pounds in 4 months on the Subway "Jared" diet!! I joke with him that he should be getting paid to do the Jared commercials now!! He loves their subs. He's also excercising which helps of course. (05.05.07, 06:25pm)
YELENA [b]ecker- now that the weather is nice, try to go for a quick run- you can do one in the morning- for like 20 minutes and then do one at night- another 20-30 minutes... by breaking up the exercise- you're getting more cardio in and it's not as hard or boring to run the entire hour.... ALSO- the thing about eating healthy is that it's not always convinient, and seeing how you are a pretty busy guy- when you go grocery shop get food that is healthy, but that you can carry with you- like apples- buy one of those corer/slicers that cores and slices the apple all at once- they're like $5... and baby carrots!- just buy a bunch of snack or sandwich bags, separate them by serving sizes and that way throughout the week you'll have healthy food to snack on ready to go....You can do the same with bulk almonds (buy them raw, not roasted or flavored) and also try to cut out the sugar... that alone can help greatly... I wish i lived closer- I would totally train you for free! :)
I helped a friend of mine drop 126 pounds so far- just by eating healthier and walking... WALKING! so you can DEF. do it!!! Good luck! (04.27.07, 03:27pm)
Mark Cafiero P.S. You don't need a trainer, man! It's all mostly common sense. Burn more calories (excersize) than you consume, and eat several small meals a day to support a healthy metabolism.

Mark Cafiero I have to support Quiznos because my cousin is in their TV commercial (he's the wrongway sub maker guy), but kudos to Subway for having a really healthy menu.
Good luck, no matter what you do to start losing weight, the secret is simply committment to a healthy routine, self-control when faced with not-healthy alternatives, and goal setting!
Chipotle will serve up chicken and beans, or the burrito bowl is OK as long as you say NO to cheese and Sour Cream!
Go get em, Champ!

I do not know any nutritionist or personal trainer back ther but I do know a great 5 days detox program called RESET from a great company of nutritional supplements from Utah called USANA. You can check it in http://products.usana.com/en/products/us/macros/reset/ or www.usana.com. If you need more info let me know, have a great day!

Luke Walker glad to see you joining the subway fan club bro, welcome aboard. i have one a block away and i eat there very regularly. my personal fav is a 6 inch roast beef on wheat, shredded cheese mix, peppers, the works, and mustard.
combine that with a flavored water and apple package and you have a hell of a good lunch for about 375 calories or the equivalent of a lean cuisine TV dinner.... and a heal of a lot better.
i have a quizno's close by as well, but im definitely not a fan. not nearly as healthy of options and about 3 times the price.
of course i (we) are subway's target market, so that probably has something to do with it.
